Urban Pet Haus™ is a modern pet products company that is named for a lifestyle many of us seek to balance - our pet’s needs within our own environment. In my case, I had rented a room in Santa Monica with my two cats in tow and no furniture. We created, we played, we imagined the Curve Perch – the first of many new modern pet furnishings from Urban Pet Haus. My name is Marty Watts part owner of Urban Pet Haus and besides my passion for Louie and Layla (feral cats that rescued me) I practice ethnographic research. The entire line of Urban Pet Haus home furnishings was conceived through the collaboration of a modern furniture designer and myself.

We started with a complete line of modern pet furniture so pet lovers, both dog and cat could imagine our designs within their environment. Partnering with bloggers such as ModernCat.net that serve the modern pet community hosted contests to solicit opinions on which designs we should manufacture first. In the process we learned how pet lovers interact with their furry companions and developed products using their feedback. One result is the Slant Stair our first product brought to market, an unmet need in the modern interior. We appreciate the opportunity to serve our companions and others while doing what we love – creating!
